Terms of use
These terms apply between you and Securum, which runs Signup.Name. By creating an account, registering for an event or otherwise using the service you accept them.
1. The service
Signup.Name lets you create a digital business card shared by link and QR code, save other people's cards as contacts with your own notes, and create events and receive registrations. The service is currently free of charge. We may introduce fees for certain features; never without telling you first and never unless you choose to pay.
2. Your account
- The details you provide must be correct and your card must be about you – you may not pretend to be someone else.
- You are responsible for keeping your login safe and for what is done from your account.
- You can close the account at any time. Your data is then removed as described in the privacy policy.
3. Your content and your responsibility
- You own what you add. You give us the right to store and show it in the way the service is built for – for example showing your card to anyone who has the link.
- Only upload photos, logos and texts that you have the right to use.
- Private notes about contacts are your own. You are responsible for what you write about other people and should not record sensitive information about someone else.
- As an organizer you are responsible for your event and for how you use the participants' details. Use them only for the event, do not ask for more than you need – in particular not dietary preferences unless you serve something – and do not pass them on.
- When you save someone's card, that person can see that you did. Use contact details you get through the service with good judgement and not for bulk mailings.
4. What you may not do
- Publish content that is illegal, threatening, abusive, misleading or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Create fake cards or events, register other people without their knowledge or collect data under false pretences.
- Try to access other people's data, disrupt the service or use it for spam or automated collection.
We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If you see something that does not belong here, e-mail hello@signup.name.
5. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the service working and available, but it is provided as is and we cannot promise that it is always free of errors or interruptions. We are not a party to the relationship between organizers and participants and are not responsible for events created in the service. We are not liable for indirect damage or loss of profit. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
6. Changes
We may update the service and the terms. We announce significant changes in the service or by e-mail before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
